LSSC and NSDC Explore Collaborative Efforts for Leather Sector Skill Development

New Delhi, January 6, 2026: Shri Sanjay Leekha, Chairman, LSSC, and Mr. Sanjay Kumar, CEO, LSSC, met senior NSDC officials at Kaushal Bhawan, New Delhi. The meeting focused on strengthening skill development initiatives and collaboration in the leather sector. Discussions emphasized industry-aligned training and enhanced SSC–NSDC partnerships.
Shri Sanjay Leekha, Chairman of the Leather Sector Skill Council (LSSC), along with Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, LSSC, held a detailed meeting with senior officials at Kaushal Bhawan, New Delhi. The meeting was attended by Mr. Mahendra Singh Payaal, Executive Vice-President; Col. Dharmendra Kumar, NSDC Nominee to LSSC; Shri Alok Jain, Vice-President, NSDC; Shri Rishikesh Patankar, Vice-President, NSDC; and Mr. Mohan Reddy, General Manager – SSC Collaboration, NSDC.
The discussions focused on strengthening skill development initiatives in the leather sector through enhanced collaboration between LSSC and NSDC. Key areas included improving industry-aligned training programs, expanding skilling opportunities, and reinforcing partnerships to support workforce readiness and sustainable growth in the leather industry.
